A few months ago, I discovered the Denver Flea on Instagram when my girlfriend tagged me in one of their posts! My eyes lit up when I realized I’d be visiting her in Denver the same weekend as the July flea! With artisan vendors, craft beer, food trucks, and more, it looked like the type of event my husband and I love to stumble on. Much to my delight and surprise, the Denver flea reached out to offer us tickets to the event and giveaway to others! Check out our experience below! I’m sharing what we loved about the flea, why you should go, and a list of our favorite vendors! Don’t worry, the Denver Flea is held 4 times a year, so there are plenty of opportunities for you to attend in the future!
What we loved
The best thing about the Denver flea is the atmosphere, an open air warehouse, lots of space to move about, multiple bars to grab a refreshing drink, a beer garden, food trucks, live music, and tons of bathrooms. What more could a girl (or guy) as for?! Although it was quite hot, which is unusual for a Denver evening in July, the space never felt overly crowded or impossible to navigate. There was plenty of room to move about between the vendors and at least 4 bars to grab a drink, so you never waited long if there was even a line. And ladies, there were plenty of bathrooms! Every time we went, we walked right in…no need to wait in line!
Why you should go
You should go to the Denver flea because they host a HUGE variety of local artisan vendors with handcrafted home decor, food, drink, pet, fashion, and bath and body items you cannot find anywhere else! Items can be pricey, but it is important to remember they are created by hand. Which leads me to my elevator pitch…each piece requires hours of sweat and dedication, from actually constructing the item, to packaging, photographing, and marketing the item. And that isn’t even half of it! I recently closed my own Etsy shop, so I understand every aspect that goes into owning and operating a handmade business, and it is nothing short of amazing. Kudos to all the incredible artisan vendors out there, I see you, I understand the struggle, and I commend you for sticking with it and kicking butt! I love supporting you!
Our favorite vendors
There are 100+ vendors at the flea, enough reasons to go in itself, but to top it off, there are fabulous food trucks, a beer garden, live music, and much, much more! If you’re interested in going to the Denver Flea, you can purchase tickets to the September event here!
