On the first Sunday of every month, Sunset Cove hosts Club Brunch, a party on the water with brunch, booze, and live music included! So when we were looking for a location with a tropical vibe during the summer months, we knew we had to check out Sunset Cove. I’ve personally spent many hours here, coming by boat and car to enjoy the casual beach and tiki bar atmosphere while savoring the delicious food (especially rockfish bites) and tropical drinks!
We had a gloomy and wet day for our June brunch event, but it didn’t keep us down. This was our best brunch turnout yet, with 13 attendees, an onsite calligrapher, and goodie bags filled with handmade items and a Club Brunch t-shirt from Sunset Cove. There were many unique connections made, from pharmacists to bloggers, teachers to therapists, and neighbors with the same breed of dog who didn’t know each other before the brunch (both living outside of DC). It was an enjoyable afternoon despite the lousy weather, but that’s the beauty of GTB! We don’t need anything but good company, a bite to eat, and a drink to sip on to make a wonderful event!
5 Reasons You Should Check out Sunset Cove:
1.The Beach-great for kids and adults alike!
2.Easy access by boat or car (and lots of parking)
3.Rockfish bites-my favorite item on the menu hands down!
4.All the crushes-made with fresh squeezed juices! You can’t find that anywhere!
5.Live music-need I say more?
Special thanks to all our amazing vendors for making this our best turnout despite the weather!
