For our May Baltimore brunch event, we ventured to Little Havana on Key Highway in Federal Hill! Little Havana has a Cuban vibe and a delicious brunch menu! We were accompanied by Alex Rocca, who captured the bright light and colorful floral arrangements so beautifully; Yvonne Lawson, who created beautiful hand lettering on a faux monstera leaf and a colorful chalkboard, and watercolor lettering for a little extra Cuban flair; and Carly Ross, yours truly, found the perfect assortment of colorful, tropical flowers to arrange in simple, recycled glass jars! It was a 90 degree day with a heat index of 110, a rare occurrence in Baltimore in May! But the conversation (and the drinks) kept our brunch going for hours, without any regard for the temperature! Okay, maybe a little! ; )
A new feature I will start sharing in these brunch blog posts is a list of our (GTB B’More) favorite things about a brunch location or event! It will be a compilation of my personal experiences at a location, from working with a specific vendor, to eating or drinking menu items, to parking and the like, as well as the experiences of our brunch attendees! So feedback is always welcome and encouraged for anyone who attends our events! Just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Now, onto those favorites…
5 Reasons We Love Little Havana:
1.Drinks- Mojito & Huckleberry Lemonade
2.Outdoor seating on the water…now that’s a view!
3.Can order from regular menu during brunch hours-options are always a good thing!
4.Parking…and it’s free!
5.Churros con Chocolate…yup, fried dough, sugar, chocolate, what more could a gal ask for?!
Special thanks to the vendors and Little Havana for making our May brunch incredible!
