The last two weeks have been a huge improvement from the beginning half of the first trimester. Morning sickness has mostly subsided. It seems like now I just get occasional intermittent nausea throughout day, but it doesn’t last long. I don’t have a ton of energy yet, and have been sleeping a lot. I did, however, make it to my fit4baby class on Sunday, so I was pretty proud of myself. I also had a baby shower Saturday and a birthday brunch Sunday after the workout class. So it was a busy weekend with lots of fun events celebrating friends. Between baby showers, bonfires, and birthday brunches, I think I ate more the first weekend than the entire pregnancy so far.
The second week was pretty good as well. I finished my PIO injections and stopped taking estrogen pills after the Wednesday night dose. We went to my father in laws in Maine for a long weekend, which was scheduled before we even knew we were pregnant, but now it seems like the timing was meant to be. A celebration of no more injections or meds! The weather was beautiful and all the small towns on the midcoast were beyond quaint. I felt good most of the weekend, but had a limited appetite. Let’s just saw lobster was not looking appetizing to me.
Over the last few days I’ve had cramping at night, right before bed. It’s different than the nausea; more like period cramps. I got worried on Monday night, but after ~20 minutes, it subsided, so that was reassuring.
Cravings: appeal cider donuts, milk, honeycrisp apples, belvita breakfast biscuits in middle of night, cinnamon bread with butter
I return to the OB for a follow up during week 11. I’m looking forward to going back, getting routine blood work. and getting more info. on our pregnancy moving forward.
